Cloud Server v1 (old generation) – EOL 31st August 2016

LunacloudNews

We have made some important upgrades to our virtualization and automation platforms. We have introduced a new generation of cloud server technology, based on VMware technology. Alongside technological improvements, Lunacloud also announced a price decrease on Cloud Servers, with reductions up to 40%.

Compared to the old generation of Cloud Servers, this 2nd generation offers significant processing resources (up to 196 GB RAM and 16 CPU cores per Cloud Server), pure SSD storage, dedicated bandwidth between servers and improved network performance, of up to 25%. Also, it now supports a wider variety of applications, benefiting from the industry-standard VMware technology.

We have taken the decision to discontinue our first generation Cloud Servers (v1). We are now announcing the end-of-life (EOL) of the Cloud Server v1 service on August 31st, 2016.

If you have created your Cloud Servers before May 1st 2016, you have an old-generation Cloud Server and you must take action until August 31st, 2016.

We suggest you create new Cloud Servers (which will be new-generation, therefore with better specs and lower-prices) and migrate all your data and applications from the old Cloud Servers.

By the EOL date (August 31st, 2016) we will no longer provide access to your old Cloud Servers, either through direct connection, our web control panel or from the API.
